Good
morning fellow planners,
Next
Tuesday, August 3rd, the Bureau of Land Management is hosting a
unique student opportunity – Salt Lake City will be hosting one of
several America’s Great Outdoors listening sessions that are being hosted
across the country. This youth-based listening session is targeted for
participants between the ages of 16-25. This is a unique opportunity for
students to express their ideas which will be presented to the Secretary of
Interior during the session.
This
is where you come in – we need your help in getting youth from across the
state to attend this listening session! If you are involved with a youth group,
university class, or know of students who may be interested, can you please forward
this message to them? As this event is only one week away, we appreciate any
assistance you can provide in getting the word out.
Please
let interested students know they should follow the link below and sign up for
the session. While the official deadline is Wednesday, July 28th,
students are encouraged to email the contact address (americasgreatoutdoorsyouthslc@blm.gov)
as soon as they can commit to attending. Please see below for information that
should be provided.
If
you have any questions regarding this session, please contact Cindy Ledbetter
at (801) 977-4377 or americasgreatoutdoorsyouthslc@blm.gov.
Thanks
in advance for your help!
Cheers,
Lindsay Ex
